Amylin believes in the potential of peptide-based therapeutics and continues to explore new options in the obesity market, including building on the known biology of peptide hormones, such as amylin and leptin. As the prevalence of obesity continues to rise in the U.S. and around the world, there clearly is a need for innovative therapies to address this disease.
Amylin has a worldwide agreement with Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited to co-develop and commercialize pharmaceutical products for the treatment of obesity and related indications.
